I finished it a while ago, but it’s a hard thing to get a really good photo of.

What’s better than a photo of a cute child holding it? She was very gentle with it – her mum was right behind. I thought the mask plus her pink party look went perfect together:

Here’s a closer up version to see more detail. There are sparkly black beads all around the outside. It ended up being rather heavy, but then, there are LOT of beads there!

I started a series of monograms – letters single and intertwined to see how it would look in beaded embroidery. I think it was a success, and fun to create. The first one I did was the letter “B”, my initial, and I wanted it to look wedding-y, like a cake decoration.

I would like to try this using Swarovski crystals and pearls as well. It’s more sparkly IRL than the photo shows. White is hard to photograph!

Monogram Letter in Bridal Style.

The next monogram I did was the the letters “J” and “G” intertwined. This one left the bridal style behind and went for more of a medieval, codex illustration look. The colours are rich and saturated and the effect I like the best is the perpendicular sewing of the beads on the letter “J”, where the outline goes one way and the fill the other!
